Hello everyone! 👋

This is the dev team, here with an exciting announcement. We've just released an updated slightly more polished build of 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐬! Our members have been super excited to share with you some of the small little things we added to make the overall experience better. We carefully listened to all the feedback  from amazing friends, colleagues, and gamers. Thank you to all who tried out our tiny game and were compelled to give us tips and thoughts to improve!  💙

What's New?

• All-new intro and ending cutscenes!
• All-new designs and animations for Ghosts and Strawberry Doggos!
• Improved visual and audio hints for learning how to play!
• Redesigned and improved all of the puzzles!
• Translations for voice lines in Korean and Spanish!

Changelog

🎨 Visual

• Changed the design of the ghostly figure in the cave with animations
• Changed the color of the slimes (timer vs. non-timer)
• Added intro and ending cut scenes that can be skipped
• Added a starry line to connect the right laser doggo to the connected monsters 
• Added a falling mid-air animation to make the jump experience even better
• Added an idle animation for the laser doggo when the laser is off
• Added a small light to exit points inside the cave 

💻 Programming

• macOS version now available!!
• Added subtitles to voice acting
• Added spacebar as an option for jumping
• Fixed a few map designs to signal the end of a map
• Fixed several bugs, including the pause menu not working and your selected element being changed between levels
• Improved clarity on how slimes, barriers, ghosts, and timers work
• Redesigned areas and puzzles that were possible to get lost in or skip entirely

🎵 Audio

• Added many new sound effects for creatures and Sumi
• More beautiful soundtracks for intro and ending cutscenes

📖 Language

• Added partial subtitle translations in Korean and Spanish

The Future

We have a few more smaller updates planned down the line (i.e. UI updates, localization plans), but we are most likely not implementing more substantial content. Stay tuned! ^ ㅡ^
